Help Wanted! - the following vehicle owners need help identifying the manufacturer of their bodies

1937 Dodge w/Utility Box - owned by Mike Felix

Enclosed are 3 pictures of my 37 Dodge 1/2 ton. The utility box is, I believe, original to the truck. I spoke to relatives of the deceased original owner and they expressed a collective memory that included remembering the truck with the utility box as the only box the truck ever had. The truck was purchased new in the Grand Gorge, NY area.

As you can see in the photos, if you wish to gain access to the interior of the external boxes on the utility box you are in a quandary. There are no handles to open them. On each of the boxes there is an opening with a female receptacle that will accept a square male key (or large screw driver) that can be turned and open the box. Some of the interior of the boxes include metal lined wooden shelves.

As you can see, the doors on each side on the box are mirror images of each other. The box in not as equal in height from top to bottom when the area before the rear wheel is compared to the area behind the rear wheel. The area behind the cab has a small rack and below that is a large box that is accessed from the doors on either side of the box. The bed of the box is diamond plate.

I can not find any manufacturer markings on the box at all.

Any help you can give me is appreciated.

Thanks, Mike Felix
