Ron Fournier - Fournier Enterprises - Shelby Township, Michigan

Ron Fournier's career as a metal fabricator spans 40 years and across the custom automotive, motorcycle & aircraft industries.

His career began with Holman and Moody in 1964, and since that time racing greats such as Roger Penske, A.J. Foyt, Kar Kraft and Bob Sharp Racing have all utilized Ron's unique skills to transform metal into various components for their championship-winning race cars. General Motors, Ford and Chrysler have also contracted for his fabrication and training services.

In the 1970s, Ron founded Race Craft, which developed a reputation as one of the finest metal fabrication shops in the U.S. Ron and his wife, Sue, have written two books now considered essential references in the automotive metal work field: Metal Fabricator's Handbook and Sheet Metal Handbook. In 1984 Metal Fabricator's Handbook received a Moto Award, the highest achievement in automotive journalism.

In 1991, Ron and his family founded Fournier Enterprises, a custom metal fabrication company with a variety of business divisions including full-size custom built vehicles, Metal Fabrication Workshops, instructional films, as well as a line of signature tools and equipment. Recent shop projects include a 1938 Bugatti body build, a one-off aluminum bodied roadster and a full schedule of workshops, and industry show appearances.

Through the years Ron has worked diligently to promote the craft of metal work and has placed an emphasis on education and training so that the art to which he has dedicated his life's work will continue to thrive for many years to come.

Nicole Fournier-Osborne is responsible for business operations, tool development and marketing / advertising at Fournier Enterprises. Nicole is Ron and Sue's daughter and shares their passion and enthusiasm for the craft.

She brings more than 15 years of experience in the metal working field and automotive industry, a B.S. in Marketing and an M.B.A. to the family business. So, if you happen to call and she answers the phone, rest assured she knows the difference between aluminum & AK steel and can help with your metal working needs!

Although she juggles many responsibilities, her number one priority remains the same - her customers! If you have a suggestion or an idea for Fournier, contact Nicole!

Dan Fournier is an accomplished metal fabricator, painter and welder - truly an integral part of our family business. He began learning his metal shaping and fabrication skills when he was 12 years old, and has trained under his father's watchful eye for the ensuing 20 years. In addition to his regular shop responsibilities, Dan enjoys teaching welding and other metal fabrication skills to workshop students with Ron. He also helps with technical & equipment questions on the phone lines and e-mail, so don?t be surprised if you call and get to talk with him next time you have a tech question. Dan's experience also makes him an excellent part of our tool & equipment development team. He's our "Hey, we can make that tool even better / simpler / easier to use..." guy. He's part trouble shooter, part engineer and 100% committed!

So, as you can see, we've been around metal working for a while. In fact, we've even had a hand in training some of the people who are emerging at the forefront of metal shaping right now. We plan on sticking around for another couple generations - because we love what we do. And in our trade, one thing is certain: it's a great mix of fun, hard work, dedication and it's a family thing.
