Known production automobile body builder in 1912. (I believe they also made
bodies for the Ford Model T in 1914-1915, but can't locate the reference).

The Racine Boat Manufacturing Company relocated from Racine, WI to Muskegon,
MI in 1904. Although Racine newspapers had been speculating about the move
for some time, it did not take place until a disastrous fire destroyed the
yard, the landowner refused to renew the lease, and Muskegon offered free
land, tax breaks and $20,000 in cash.

Distinguishing between the wood and canvas canoes built by the Racine Boat
Manufacturing Co. of Muskegon (1893-1916) and the Racine Boat Co.
(1906-1927) of Racine is almost as difficult as untangling the intertwined
histories of the two companies. (The progenitor of both companies, the
Racine Hardware Manufacturing Co. (RHMCo.) did not build wood and canvas
	canoes.)
