Peoples Rapid Transit Corporation of Kalamazoo, Michigan built their 1938
Kalamazoo Pony Cruiser on a Ford model 81Y 1-ton truck frame modified for
forward control use. The streamlined body was constructed entirely of metal
on a 166" wheelbase with 1937-38 Ford passenger car headlamps and Ford's
distinctive 1938 truck grill placed front and center.
