Dillinger-Gaines Coach Works: A New York firm specializing in "stretched" Limousines famous for their Trump Golden Edition.

"The Executive" limousine and the "Trump Golden Edition" both built 1988 in collaboration with New York developer, Donald Trump are pictured in Cadillac news sheet, Vol. 2, issue 1

The "Golden Edition" was built 1988 in collaboration with New York developer, Donald Trump; picture in Cadillac news sheet, Vol. 2, issue 1 (in 1988 literature drawer); also catalogue/folder "The Trump Series " (includes "The Executive" Limousine)

There may be a connection of sorts with Empire Coach Works as a number of early 1990s limos have been ID'd as Empire-Gaines limousines.

The 70" stretch was their most popular size for Lincoln limousines in the late 1980s

Dillinger Coach Works was a mass production facility for standard style limos with an assembly line staffed by UAW employees. AT one time the West Islip, Long Island firm employed over 250 people. 

Kevin Wagner, a former employee of the firm started Millennium Custom Auto in 1998 and specialized in exotic stretches.
